The madonna is the only artwork i've gotten for my apartment in the 10 months i've lived in tj. I paid $20 for her on 2nd street, at night, after mucho tequilas at ranchero bar. It wasn't until I got home I realized she was tromp l'oiel. Inner robe made of roses, outer robe made of angels. If you click on her face for the larger picture you'll see her eyes are caballeros in sombreros. I took the pictures with the cellphone about 4 am the other morning.

I missed the roses - I did catch the caballeros in sombreros and of course the angels.
It was a good buy it seems to me, but I'm not encouraging mucho tequilas :)
