Casa de Balboa

This is a collonade in the Casa de Balboa in Balboa Park in San Diego. Lot's of information on it here. And another much older picture here and here.

The shadows in the colonnade are great and the length of uncovered walkway in the foreground accentuates the depth of the colonade - but someone cropped the top of the colonnade's facade. :)

I didn't do very well in art history and I doubt I've improved over the last 30 years.

It sure would be nice to know the name of this place though :)

O.K. Dors, I updated the post for you with the name and some other links to cool pictures. My pic was uploaded from my cellphone directly to the blog so i had to go back later and clean it up. Can't do much about the tilt and the crop of the top tho.:)

Some of us hang out every once in a while in Dawn's chat room - usually on a Friday night.

Everyone misses you - you're on Dawn's email list so you should have a link.

Stop by if you get the chance. I'll send you an email the next time my wife lets me go out drinking :)
